Ronda Rousey Fighter Profile

I actually had the pleasure of driving Ronda around for a limo service in Hawaii. It was a pleasure. Here’s a little fight bio for her.

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey surges onto the scene of women’s Mixed Martial Arts in August of 2010.  She was born and grew in Riverside County, California on the 1st of February, 1987 to Ron Rousey and AnnMaria DeMars, she was born with an umbilical cord covered around her neck, which impaired her vocal chords.  Ronda Rousey didn’t speak lucidly until then she reaches the age of 6.  She was a self-proclaimed tomboy and swayed from the ages of six to ten.  Ronda contested at the Junior Olympic swim team wherein she retained in the state level. Due to the fact that her mother is a seventh-degree black belter and also a world judo champion way back in 1984, Ronda Rousey took up the hobby. Ronda had a difficult time mingling with other children and discovered that this sport gave her lots of confidence. Ronda holds further degree black belter in the martial art.

Her career in Judo is a storied one. At the age of 17, Ronda became the youngest Judoka in Olympic Games held in Athens in the year 2004. The same year, Ronda grabs a gold medal in the Budapest World Junior Judo Championship, and she became the first female in the US in virtually ten years to earn A-level tournament going five to love (5-0) to get the gold medal at the World Cup held in Great Britain.  Ronda grabbed the #3 spot at the World Championship when she was 19 years of age.  Ronda is the first sportsperson in the US to grab 2 Junior World Medals ever.

In 2007, Ronda added silver at the Judo Championships and first place at the Pan American Games.
The high point of her career in Judo was a 3rd place at the Olympic Games in the year 2008 held in Beijing. She became the first women in America to grab an Olympic medal in Judo women category since it became an office game in Olympic in the year 1992. After winning lots of medals in the World Championships and Olympics, her career in Judo starts to subside. Ronda did some bartending for her living and tried to look for a good job. On the other hand, it was hard looking for anyone which required her specific set of skill. Throwing someone down and placing them in arm bar is not something you can write down on your paper application. By change, she caught the Julie Kedzie vs Gina Carano battle on TV and things changed.

About Ronda Rousey

Ronda made her MMA debut being an amateur in 2010.  Ronda has never lost a match since then, winning the mainstream in the 1st round by arm bar submission. She took it upon herself to look after and need attention in order that the UFC can no longer overlook women fighters. Dana White, UFC President, had stated publicly that girls will never be permitted to fight in the UFC.

On the other hand, on the 23rd of February 2013, she did just that. Ronda won the match opposed to Liz Carmouche in the 1st round with her trademark arm bar submission and turn out to be the 1st Women Bantamweight Champion. In 2014, she appeared in her 1st motion picture The Expendables 3. Other movie projects are 2015 Furious 7, and Entourage and The Athena Project.
